Welcome to ASG Robotics, a leading developer and provider of automated production and assembly systems for the last 30 years. Located in Tallinn, Estonia, and serving a worldwide client base, we are experts in the design and manufacture of automated production lines and robotic solutions for use in industrial environments such as manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and warehousing.
We work with most leading manufacturers of today´s industrial robots, and to date have completed more than 850 projects. From upgrades and customizations to the design and installation of turnkey solutions of every size.
Although we are engineers, we understand the business context of automation and strive to create value quickly. From the initial meeting, we make sure we understand the core needs of our clients through good diagnostic questions. HISTORY
Founded in 1991 in St Petersburg, Russia, as Kvadrat SG LLC, our industrial automation journey started as a supplier of technical equipment to international enterprise clients. As the years passed, the company's experience and in-house capabilities evolved, and we gradually moved towards the development and production of industrial robotic systems, including installation-ready automation cells, end-of-arm tooling, and end-of-line automation.
We are a family-owned business, employing a loyal and skilled group of trusted colleagues. With more than 30 years experience of designing innovative automation solutions, we´re as passionate today about helping our customers reach their goals, as when we started. Our founder, Sergei Gadalov is today Group Chief Executive. His son, Alexander Gadalov is Chief Technology Officer and Client Director. Both have strong technical backgrounds, and this has been a critical advantage in building and leading expert engineering and design teams as the business has developed into new areas.
In 2010, we started ASG Robotics in Tallinn, Estonia, to serve our increasing number of international clients. As a Group we have evolved our capabilities in the design and manufacture of custom robotics solutions, bespoke automation systems and custom machine design.
To date, we are proud to say that we have successfully delivered more than 850 projects, working with international clients in the automotive, general industry, food processing, construction, shipbuilding and chemical industries. With our experience from supporting automotive manufacturers and their parts suppliers (OEMs, Tier 1) around the world, we have developed many solutions for assembly, transportation, and manufacturing automation. ASG Robotics has a strong track record and experience in the following solution areas;
Conveyor solutions, using robotics to manage the intelligent transport and sorting of materials within a factory or production facility.
Robotic welding, offering improved weld quality, safety, efficiency, productivity and covering automated MIG and SAW welding.
Automated material handling, including the use of palletizing, pick and place, and sensor-based robotic sorting systems.
Today, we are a full-service automation solution provider. Our experienced team of engineers, designers, and project managers is available for hire as a production cell to augment existing capabilities. HOW WE WORK
ASG Robotics have developed a distinctive project implementation process that matches our engineers, with their diverse design experience, with our client´s in-house capabilities and, where relevant, their existing equipment. This powerful combination enables our engineers to quickly identify technology or process gaps, and converge on solutions.
Understanding the client´s needs is essential to developing a relevant solution. Our process starts with an assessment of our client´s current production processes and understanding the key automation metrics that will determine performance and efficiency. We then work with the client´s team to establish detailed performance requirements and timelines. We use this information to develop a problem statement that guides our custom-engineered solution process. This approach ensures that we have a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s needs before we start developing solutions. Finally, key metrics for success are validated by reviewing the desired outcome and the performance metrics that will be measured.
We believe that preparing for the unknown is essential in developing custom-engineered solutions. That’s why we conduct a Risk Assessment for each solution and share that information with our clients. This approach reduces delays and additional costs, enabling us to deliver solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations.

We start with ideation, reviewing the insights and data collected and brainstorming solution ideas. Once we’ve worked through the concept and developed a solution, our engineering team creates preliminary design drawings. The ASG Robotics team develops a proposal that compares costs to projected ROI based on key performance metrics outlined in the data analysis. This ensures that our solution resolves the problem statement and provides value, such as labour savings, increased output, and reduced production costs.
Our process involves thorough research and development, including the design and building of prototypes. These reduce risk and uncertainty by providing proof of concept to our customers early in the development process. Often, during this phase, we also identify additional opportunities to improve our client’s current processes, providing them with more value than just solving their immediate need.

As we enter the engineering phase of an automation project, the depth and breadth of our engineering experience add value, as we work closely with clients to make sure our solution fits the requirements. During the installation phase of a custom engineering project for a manufacturing automation system, the designed solution is physically installed on-site. This phase involves integrating and connecting the various system components, including the mechanical, electrical, and control systems. The installation team will also test the system to ensure that it is functioning correctly and make any necessary adjustments. Once the installation is complete, the system will be ready to be tested in the commissioning process, with ongoing support and maintenance provided as needed.
